The desktop app runs the same interface as the web app but plays video with its own engine, so more of your library plays exactly as it sits on disk. It maps HDR to whatever your screen can show and decodes surround itself, rather than handing either straight to the display or a receiver. Android TV mirrors the Apple apps apart from the playback engine, which it doesn't need. A Samsung and LG app is in early development and isn't listed here yet. Owner tools like alerts, health, analytics, and logs live in the web dashboard, so they work from any device's browser.
